New Halloween Mixed Media Project - Jason Voorhees Mask (For my son)

Hello lovelies!

I hope a few Mixed Media and Halloween lovers take a moment to stop by and check out my new Halloween project...

My son, who is six (almost 7), has picked up my love for all things horror.. I am a lover of the horror genre both new and old, and have taken on the task and pure joy of making his Halloween costume this year.. Jason Voorhees ladies and gentlemen!

I was so excited about this project, and then I realized as I was compiling all of my mixed media products, both dark and broody colors alike, that all of these amazing products that I own from Lindy's and ColourArte and 13 @rts, well.. they were a bit too sparkly for my wee one and his costume lol.. I went on a mad mission to gather as many paint and texture products that I could ransack, without glitter.. pshssh..

I finally located some of my Liquitex heavy bodied paint, some suspicious looking black matte paint, and a few Distress Ink pads and Distress Crayons in rusty and brown shades, and a couple beautiful non-glitzy sprays..

To much delight, and much creativity, I really got into this one!  I'm not quite done yet, but I'm so proud of it even in its mid-stage I just had to share it..  I do believe I have found a new love to explore in my Mixed Media creating.  I will for sure be including more horror related subject matter into some of my projects!

Hope you enjoy, and thank you for stopping by!  Be sure to subscribe to my blog for more Mixed Media projects!

XoXo... Sarah
